We are the church up the street—likely the closest one to the houses we are visiting. Perhaps both the church and the families have been here for years without meeting each other. Jesus taught His followers to love their neighbors as themselves (Matthew 19:19), but it is hard to love someone you have never met. So we are taking the initiative to put a face to our “Everyone Welcome” sign (cf. John 3:16; 1 Timothy 2:4; 2 Peter 3:9).

“All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth” (Matthew 28:18). At His second coming He will reign as King forever.
