What Kind of Dirt Are You? (Pack of 10)
Tract-0544What Kind of Dirt Are You? (Pack of 10)
Today’s lesson is on dirt. The Bible begins with dirt (Genesis 1:1, “earth”) and teaches that God took a piece of it and made Adam, whose name literally means “ruddy”1 (Genesis 2:7). Have you ever wondered what kind of dirt God used to make Adam? The Bible does not say, but perhaps it was red dirt.
Our question is, “What kind of dirt are you?” Jesus taught about four kinds of soil in the parable of the Sower (Matthew 13; Mark 4; Luke 8). Each of us must recognize ourselves for what we are (2 Corinthians 13:5). It does no good to ignore problems (6:2). It is encouraging to know that we can make changes if they are needed (Acts 3:19). If we are the wrong kind of soil, then we can cultivate ourselves (cf. 1 Thessalonians 1:9).
Let each of us find ourselves in this parable (Read Matthew 13:1–9).
