God sees all sin. It is inconceivable how He can watch every murder, rape, theft, and homosexual act in the world every day without destroying the world. He is in every bar, brothel, prison, gang, mafia, terrorist group, and false religious assembly. He knows the
thoughts and plans of every wicked person before he/she has them. His patience and long-suffering are beyond comprehension.

Of all those sins, and more, what is the most offensive sin to God? It has to be idolatry. It is an affront to His very existence. It takes His glory and gives it to His creation. It undermines His authority and substitutes immorality for His holiness.

Paul listed idolatry and witchcraft in his list of seventeen sins that compose the works of the flesh (Galatians 5:19–21). While the two superstitious sins are similar, sorcery is more precise, and idolatry more comprehensive. These violate Commandments I and
II (Exodus 20:2–4).
