Centripetal or Centrifugal (Pack of 10)
Tract-0469Centripetal or Centrifugal (Pack of 10)
There are two great forces in the world: centripetal and centrifugal. Centripetal draws inward; centrifugal pushes outward. Centripetal (from the Latin, centripetus)
means “seeking the center.” Centrifugal (Latin, centrifuges) means “fleeing the center.”1 Centripetal force is the force of a whirlpool. Centrifugal force is the force of a washing machine's spin cycle.
Spiritually, there are the same two forces—a centripetal attraction that draws people toward God and a centrifugal allurement that draws them away from God. Newton’s First Law states that an object will continue moving along a straight path unless acted on by an external force. A soul will go along a straight path until pulled by God’s love or Satan’s temptation (2 Corinthians 4:4).
